The prospective iPad buyers on Facebook are young - much younger than the overall Facebook population, in fact.
They're also fairly social, with nearly a third of the fans having over 300 friends. And finally, iPad fans are also very interested in other pop culture activities and themes including various celebs, brands and internet memes.
That's an interesting piece of research from Rapleaf, suggesting that the iPad is attracting younger, mainstream interest, rather than older, techie interest. The very audience, in fact, who probably don't care a jot about all the "technical limitations of the device" that people have been moaning about since it was announced.
It's a mainstream device, by design and, apparently, interest...
The fact it's not even released yet would suggest that this is just hype... Desie and uptake are two different things... Wait until they have to dig into their pockets to shell out for it... that's when the numbers will start talking!
